The Contemporary Chinese School of South Florida (CCSSF)-Broward was established in 1998 in Davie, Broward County, FL. The campus is located in the Davie Multipurpose Center (3801 South Pine Island Road, Davie, FL 33328).
CCSSF-Broward aims to provide quality education for Chinese language learning and for promotion of Chinese culture in South Florida. The School’s Chinese education serves as one program of Town of Davie. CCSSF-Broward enlists passionate and experienced teachers to teach school-age kids simplified Chinese characters and Pinyin. Classes range from the beginner level (Pinyin) to the advanced level.
CCSSF-Broward operates on the semester system, with two semesters (fall and spring) per academic year. The school calendar conforms to the Broward Public School schedule and Davie activity schedule. Chinese classes break into three sessions (one morning session and two afternoon sessions), and each class meets for two hours on Sundays during the academic year. The School also sponsors several enrichment classes such as SAT Math, etc.
The current cost per school year stands at $360 for non-Davie resident and $350 for Davie resident, plus $35/$45/$50 textbook fee per year and a non-refundable $25 registration fee for new student. The tuition will be collected once per year. Registrations are conducted at the beginning of each Fall semester. When a parent / student selects to cancel the class, the tuition will not be refunded three weeks after the school starts unless approved by the school principal for an unusual case. For spring semesters, new students can register online, then go to School Committee member or the class teacher for registration. The class teacher will interview and decide if the student can be admitted.
